Privacy
TinyTrails stores learning records for nurseries and early years settings: children's names and dates of birth, observations written by staff, milestone ratings, and photos or short videos attached to those observations.
The organisation that invites you is responsible for the children's records it enters. TinyTrails keeps those records so signed-in staff and linked parents can see what their role allows.
Who can see an observation
- Owners and managers of the setting can read observations for their sites.
- Educators can read observations for children in rooms they are assigned to. A note marked staff-only is visible to its author and to owners and managers.
- Parents and guardians only see an observation after a staff member turns on sharing, and only for a child linked to them. Photos use private storage. The app does not publish a public link to a child's media.
Asking for deletion
Ask the setting's owner to remove a child, an observation, or a staff account from the app. You can also email hello@tinytrails.uk and we will help the organisation complete that request.
Accounts are invite-only. Sign-in is handled by Clerk. The database is Neon. Media files are stored in a private Vercel Blob store.
